Who would ever have thought Chicken and waffles could be so good. This is the ultimate southern food place in Los Angeles. The line outside is always insanely long for this predominately African American restaurant which also have other locations in LA. The food is not exactly healthy, but it is certainly good, though the orange juice is way too small for the price.
I had a Scoe's 1 while my girlfriend Kelly had a Scoe's 2. The Scoe's 1 is 1/2 Chicken prepared southern style with 2 waffles and our own private mix. The number is the same with gravy and onions on that deep fried chicken. The waffles are thin, but stacked 2 high, and super fluffly and hot with a huge lump of butter on top and some maple syrup to bathe them in. The Chicken is deep fried and tasty, though a bit hard to get all the meat off of.
This is a must do in LA. Not healthy food, but absolutely delicious.
